Living inside books

I’m going to write this post to explain what I think about reading.

First of all, if you read a book, you can learn new words which are important for your vocabulary. Secondly, this is important when you do an exam or you must do a composition. Well, this is the didactic part. But, where could we go with a book? I think they have the capacity to transport you to another world: a fantastic world where we can imagine fairies, mermaids, wizards and elves; a dystopian world where you must choose between two places which will determine your destiny and a real world where all the feelings are present.

Because what can we feel when we read a book?  What did you feel when you read Harry Potter? I thought I was a wizard who lived in Hogwarts. What about with The Hunger Games? Katniss Everdeen, the girl on fire who taught us to survive. And what can we say about Shakespeare’books? With those characters who showed us the feeling of love.

Finally, I invite you to read because with books you can travel without a plane or a train and with them, you can escape from reality.

look at his little hands!

I love how stitch has a habit of grasping at things when hes anxious.  One of my favorite parts of the movie is when hes standing in the wreckage of Lilos home, with nothing left to destroy and Jumba comments that he never gave stitch a greater purpose than to destroy.  “What must it be like to have nothing, not even memories to visit” and Stitch is looking around and clenching and un-clenching his hands.

Its a very nice little habit that they gave him, especially since hes so smart but doesn’t talk much.  It gives him a sort of human anchor, something that ties him to us and gives us something to recognize and read.
